From left to right, written reflections on current political events evolve into automatic drawings through colorful metaphors of space and time. There is a push-pull with the triptychs. Each panel requires a different positioning to read or examine the works, suggesting this idea of moving through space and time to understand the works.
The three panels, when seen together, attempt to illustrate or model the construction of memories, both from a personal and historical perspective. Our memories seem to be set in stone, but are constantly in flux, taking on new meanings and hopefully shedding old ones as we move though time and space. Each panel calls upon the viewer to engage from a different vantage point.
