Constructed from feathers, hair, resin and other multimedia, Allison Janae Hamilton's (b. 1984; born in Kentucky and raised in Florida) "Blackwater Creature II" (2019) is an otherworldly creature that is arrested in space, neither in its original or fully-developed form. This work is a continuation of previous "creatures" which operate as silent witnesses, haunting in their knowledge of both the terrible beauty and haunting occurrences contained within the land.
